My try at Steampunk and Halloween fun!

I'm really digging the look of steampunk jewelry!  And I was lucky enough to jump into a swap as an angel, and finally had my chance to give it a whirl.  Well, all my colored resin pieces where a flop.  And my orginal version of this charm was also a disaster.  And finally I got it together, and came up with these.

I kinda wish I would I have punked them a little more.  But hopefully after the swap, I'll have a better idea of what and where I'm going with these.

And here are my Halloween Recipes.  I think they turned out cute.

1 fish, 2 fish...

Red fish, blue fish.

Here is my recipe page for the Dr. Seuss swap on Two Peas.

I really had to step out of the box for this one.  So I ended up doing a play on the book cover, but spiced it up a little.  I found a pic of the fish and colored them with copics.  Then sealed the squares with Glossy Accents so there was some depth.  As a background I used a Hero Arts dots stamp, with Jenny Bowlin Chicken Feed ink.  For the water I used crape paper and ruffled it, then used 2 different stitches along the bottom.

Recipe Swaps

Yes... I'm kinda addicted to recipe swaps right now.  I must admit I like to do them in groups of no more than 16ish.  20+ and I'm bored of my own design.  lol!  So anywho... here are 3 I've finished recently.

Brownie Pops

Okay!  I'm in luv with Pinterest!  And it's my go to place for ideas.  So when I signed up for a brownie recipe swap, I started pouring over pics.  And I fell in luv with the idea of the brownie pops.

One of my own personal goals for each recipe swap I participate in is to actually make the recipe, than take a picture of what I made.  So here is the pictures from my Lemon Salt Scrub & Brownie Pops.  Pics of the actual recipes pages coming soon!

Swap time!

I'm finally doing swaps again!  Yeah!  I must say, there is alot of rules when joining one now.  But that's kinda a good thing.  Cause let me tell ya, 10 years ago swappin' was a risky business.

So this swap is for Rolodex cards with a quote.  I originally wanted to use the quote "When life hands you lemons, make lemon cupcakes".  But I just couldn't get the cupcakes to look how I pictured in my head.  So I switched to a quote from a Stampin Up stamp set (Like it a Latte).  I just adore this set!!  One of my favs hands down.

Anywho... this is what I came up with.

On the back I added some tickets stamped with a set from Papertrey Ink, that included my name & date.  There is some sparkle on these cards, sadly you can't really see that in the pic.
